|Bringing Back Holleywood||
One of the pleasures of moving to a small town is unscheduled opportunity to connect with community. We dropped into a Lobster Bake and one of the volunteers turned out to be the building inspector who had just been to our house. Later, we visited across-the-street neighbors Jim and Barbara Charlton and learned that Jim, er, James, is the author of many books including an entertaining compilation of writer's quotes. (eg: Always read something that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it--PJ O'Rourke) Support the handheld book industry and a fellow taxpaper by treating yourself to your own copy, here.
who we are
We are a couple of Upper West Siders from NYC who never set out to buy an old mansion in Connecticut. But the moment we walked through its massive front door, we were smitten. The info on this site is earnestly cobbled from a variety of sources, including the web. Please let us know if we've gotten something wrong, or if there's a story about Holleywood you'd like to share.
